The hygienist scales and polishes, takes bitewing X-rays on the standard once-a-year cadence (low-dose digital, about 4 minutes of capture time), and walks you through any new spots she's watching. Dr. Annamareddy then does the exam — oral-cancer screening, occlusion check, restoration audit — and only flags work that needs to happen, not work that could happen.
